Welcome to Modern Vet - Palm
The Palm Jumeirah location includes specialists in dermatology and ophthalmology (one of the first in the United Arab Emirates), preventative medicine veterinarians, general surgeons, as well as the highest-qualified, board-certified veterinary doctors. This is the largest clinic behind the Modern Vet brand spanning 300 square meters. The location was designed with cats, dogs, and humans in mind and has designated waiting areas for kitties and pups that are set apart from one another, allowing for a stress-free veterinary experience for everyone; humans and animals alike; this is what the Modern Vet brand strives to achieve at each of their locations.

Dr. Luciano de Gatica

Luciano de Gatica graduated in 2005, as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, from Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP) in Argentina. He gained extensive experience in the field of general and orthopedic surgery working as a surgeon at various clinics in Buenos Aires. His special interest and expertise in this field led to the creation of AguaraVet (Veterinary Surgical Referral Center) where he was the Medical Director. He worked as a professor of the surgery service at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences (UNLP), where for ten years he taught not only state-of-the-art surgical techniques but also passed on his knowledge and spoke about his passion for the field.
Dr. Luciano has been working in Dubai since 2016. In his spare time he very much enjoys water sports such as kayaking, windsurfing, and diving.

Dr. Tetiana was born and grew up in Ukraine. Throughout her life she always had pets and was always the one person in her family to look after them. In childhood she was helping stray animals in her spare time, this determined her choice of university and her decision to further her career in the study of veterinary medicine.
In 2015, Dr. Tetiana obtained her masters degree in veterinary medicine from Poltava State Agrarian Academy. Throughout her education she worked as an intern at a local veterinary practice which helped her learn a lot; upon graduation she immediately began to work at veterinary practice called “Doctor Zoo”.
After couple of years she decided to pursue another dream of living abroad and relocated to Dubai, where she worked at several veterinary practices in the country.
For past 3 years Dr. Tetiana has been working at Modern Vet and has proven to be hard-working, kind and a knowledgable veterinarian.
Dr. Tetiana’s main fields of interests professionally are internal medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology and endocrinology.

Dr. Ricardos Saad has always had a deep love and appreciation for animals and their welfare. This passion inspired him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, which ultimately led to his graduation from the esteemed Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Lebanese University in 2015.
After completing his studies, Dr. Ricardos embarked on a career as a Veterinarian in some of the most reputable clinics in Lebanon, where he provided high-quality care to his patients. He even managed a veterinary hospital in Beirut for four years before relocating to Dubai in 2021.
Throughout his career, Dr. Ricardos has participated in several internships, trainings, and seminars, including Vetagro Sup-France and EERVC-Eastern Europe Regional Veterinary Conferences. As a skilled veterinary doctor, he has a particular interest in small animal internal medicine and soft tissue surgeries.

Dr. Snezhana was born and raised in a small town called Yelabuga in Russia. She comes from a family of veterinarians who also owned a small farm. At 16 years old she graduated from high school and moved to a town called Kazan to continue her education. Dr. Snezhana graduated from the Kazan State Academy of Veterinary Medicine in 2010.
The idea of becoming a veterinarian came to her while she was in her second year of university and was volunteering at a veterinary hospital in Jackson-Hole, Wyoming. She immediately fell in love with the veterinary profession and decided to pursue a career in the field.
As a university student, she interned at a veterinary clinic in Kazan and then continued working there full-time after graduating.
In 2013 she decided to dig deeper into veterinary dermatology, a field she showed a lot of interest in; she eventually graduated from the School of Veterinary Dermatology of Svetlana Belova in 2014 with the title: European Specialist in Veterinary Dermatology. Dr. Snezhana attends veterinary dermatology conferences and seminars to keep herself up to date with the latest breakthroughs in the field. Dr. Snezhana is a member of the European Society of Veterinary Dermatology.
After receiving a job offer in Dubai, she decided to make a move in 2021, as it was always her dream to live by the sea.
In her free time, Dr. Snezhana loves playing sports; she loves going to the gym and plays lots of computer games with her son.
Dr. Snezhana has 2 cats that were adopted 12 and 13 years ago and live with her family back home.

Dr. Rocio's career has also been marked by international experience, notably in Ireland, where she further expanded her expertise. This international exposure has provided her with a unique perspective and a wealth of experience in veterinary practice.
Currently, Dr. Rocio is pursuing a General Practitioner Certificate (GPCert) in Internal Medicine, underscoring her deep interest in this field. She is also passionate about emergencies and soft tissue surgery, dedicating her efforts to providing the best care for her patients.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Rocio loves to travel and explore new cultures. She enjoys spending time with horses and engaging in equestrian activities. Dr. Dusko Kusljic is a Senior Veterinarian at Modern Vet’s Palm location, with over eight years of experience providing high-quality veterinary care for dogs and cats. He graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Belgrade, Serbia, and has been practicing as a licensed veterinarian since 2017.
Dr. Dusko is known for his professional, ethical, and compassionate approach to veterinary medicine, with a strong focus on evidence-based care. He emphasizes thorough clinical assessment and careful diagnostic evaluation, avoiding premature conclusions to ensure accurate diagnoses and the best possible treatment outcomes for his patients. He is deeply committed to continuous professional development and stays up to date with current scientific recommendations through daily learning and ongoing education.
His clinical interests include preventive veterinary care, internal medicine, soft tissue and emergency surgery, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, pain management, and ophthalmology. She has extensive expertise in abdominal ultrasound, FAST and TFAST examinations, and advanced diagnostic imaging, and previously worked in a large multidisciplinary referral hospital, managing both routine and complex medical cases.
She also has experience in general clinical practice and emergency medicine, and has assisted in surgical procedures as part of a multidisciplinary veterinary team.
Dr. Pervukhina is actively involved in teaching and mentoring veterinarians, providing ultrasound training and educational support for veterinary clinics and training centres.
